CLASS OF 19TH MARCH

First things, first!
Happy Father's Day! Sending lots of love (virtual hugs, too!) to my father. This year we'll have to celebrate it in the distance.

Ok, having said that, Let's get to work.
The activity today belongs to page 57 of the Student's Book. It is a description of a person you know (your father, maybe?). The due date for the activity is Monday, 23rd March.

LESSON PLANS DURING THE QUARANTINE

Hello!
How are you doing?
Days are lonnnnnnnnng, aren't they?
Are you bored yet?

In order to prevent you going mad of boredom, I'll be providing some materials during the quarantine. I'll try to replicate our weekly lessons (that is, 3 hours per week).

Keep in mind that some tasks will be compulsory (I'll grade them) and some other will be equivalent to a test.
Let me remind you all that the SPEAKING, WRITING and LISTENING exams are still pending. We will take them online.

So far, I've tried to set up a GOOGLE CLASSROOM but I lack most of your emails.

Please, fill in the following form to solve that problem:

I'll keep you posted!

However, I guess that you are not familiar with the search tool that you have on the right side of this blog...

So, here they are. Grammar charts and exercises (answer key included!).

Help yourselves!

MODAL VERBS. TRANSFORMATIONS.

TECH PROFICIENT?

Hello!
Wow, it's been a while since I posted twice on the same day!

UNIT 1 in our book is related to new technologies and I've realised that you all seem very much familiar to the vocabulary seen so far. Anyway, while looking for new activities and vocabulary exercises I found this pun...

Also, this past weekend, while browsing the web I came up against this term ' FILTER BUBBLES'. I find it very interesting and, although I'm not tech proficient, I could get it thanks to this video.
We'll be using it in class:

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!

I know, I know....

The timing of this picture isn't the best given that it's September, 30th...
But, it takes a while until teachers meet their students and new colleagues. Well, that time is over, and I'm officially introducing the new academic year and welcoming my new students.

I hope you learn a lot this year and enjoy the ride!

Stay tunned!

LISTENING PRACTICE FOR THE EXAM 2MORROW!

I must confess that it's getting harder to find new listening materials on line.
And sometimes I forget that I have posted those exercises already.

But, there's nothing to worry about. My students ALWAYS.REMIND.ME.

ALWAYS.

Just picture their faces like...

[source: https://images.summitmedia-digital.com/spotph/images/articles/memes_hot_weather_9.jpg]

It IS really hot , isn't it? It is not summer yet (!)

I bet your are sunbathing instead of doing your homework and revising for the exam. There's enough time for everything but don't forget your listening practice.

Conditional exercises

This blog has been running for several years so, if you use the search tool on your right you will come face to face with posts from former years.

And they are handy if you need some extra practice.

As for the Conditionals, you can find these posts in the blog:
