Well, not exactly.
I'm sorry to pop your dreams in such an abrupt way. But, this is an ESL blog and gems aren't usually bright and shiny.
However, I'm quite sure you'll like as much as I do the following web page.

Passive voice (old entry)

Some of my students are having problems with the search engine of the blog. Apparently, this app doesn't work well with mobile phones. I'm sorry, but I don't know how to fix the problem.
However, since they were mostly interested on downloading the grammar copy set, I've decided to repost it.
Click on the link to be directed to the original blog entry.

And, just so you know, you can easily access to the contents of the blog through Google. All you have to do is:
1. Googling the terms you are interested on (i.e. esl freak+ passive voice)
2. Check it is the correct link.
3. Enjoy the learning ride!

The Passive Voice

I've been MIA for a couple of days but, as you know, things have been tough around here.

However, today I've kept a few minutes to post some documents involving the passive voice in English. Hope you find them useful!

First of all, this is a nice webpage including lots of exercises (and on line checking). Have a look at it, it has got different levels and exercises!

And, for those of you who prefer taking grammar quizes, there's the following webpage.

Tenses Revision. Cumulative exercises

My students' face change into indescribable colours when they faced texts that mix up several verb tenses.

Dear students, I don't want to give you nightmares.
But if the former paragraph totally describe yourselves, you should get more practice.

A table with all the tenses to help you through this arduous task.

Some exercises to practice (Answer key is included)

Impressive. Isn't it?
And sad. Sooooo sad.

Well, this topic has always drawn my attention. And apparently, it has the same impact on my students.

So, I decided to make a short exercise focusing on this environmental topic. Given that this is the listening week, I've created a listening activity. I hope you like it.

Listening Practice

Conditional sentences transformations

Look at this face...

This is the face of my students when they don't understand something (usually while I'm still explaining it).

Sometimes, they translate this face into words. And it's something like that: "I don't entender very mucho".

Well, one of this phenomenal moments took place this morning when we were going through conditional transformations. Do you know what I'm talking about? Those exercises in which you are given one sentence and you are asked to create a second sentence with the same meaning as the former but using different words. Brilliant.

Well, I've been gathering some on line practice. Help yourselves!
